Located in Tokyo, this 159 sqm house will make you think it is a block flat, but it’s just a big house for a big family or for 2 families that want to live together.
This house will help you get to know the style of Japanese houses and you will also learn about some terms used by them.
The LDK was designed in order to be one big white minimal space, with only one counter of 9m long, that is topped by one continuous lamp light on the ceiling.
LDK stands for Living, Kitchen and Dining room which makes up the heart of a Japanese apartment and will usually be an open-plan area of all of these combined. You’ll rarely find separate rooms with doors between your living/dining rooms and kitchen.
This is something you don’t see every day and it really speaks loud about the unique philosophy of Shinichi Ogawa & Associates.Located in a rural landscape of Kagawa, Japan, offers you the feeling you are passing near a warehouse, but when you see it at night you understand that you are dealing with an original idea of architectural design.
The house is built with a semi-transparent glass wall which allows the sun to illuminate the entire house during day time. In the night, the house changes due to the semitransparent glass and it will simply glow.
“The white house of one-story is located in a rural landscape. Its spatial composition is really simple, being closed toward the outside by 3 vertical surfaces and a horizontal plane” says Ogawa.
The house was built in 2011 and it has a steel frame structural system.
Natural grass, natural lake, natural forest, fresh air, and a little touch of human vision. This the picture of an amazing landscape.
A beautiful and simple house built in the middle of a natural green grass sea. The house is located in Gifu, Japan, a beautiful place to spend a calm vacation. This house is something you can get a lot of inspiration from.
Ogawa even invented a new style of an alley to get to the house. It seems the alley was already there but in the same time, the perfect design makes you realize is the work of a bright mind.
An open space building with a kitchen, living room and an office.
This can easily pass by as an office, a residence or even both.
Just picture yourself working here in this comfortable office and quiet landscape.
This is one of the main reasons why you should consider Ogawa as your architect or as a source of inspiration.
