The twenty-one century is dominated by technology, speed,self-care but also by social life.If you live in a big city you know what we are talking about.
Sometimes people blame this system we are living in, saying that it takes from us more than it gives us.Is that so?We won’t try to respond that question, but we’ll try to find a solution to this life’s bustle.
We’ve found a place where you can rest and hide, without running away from the city.Actually it brings the city into your living space. You can find non-convetional and futuristic decorations, huge spaces for parties, a gym and a garden where you can relax.
This 200 m2 living space has light, so much light, you won’t be ever overwrought. The neutral colors put together with the furniture are in an outstanding harmony.
This could be a perfect home for a restless man.The walls are painted in dark colors, but the designers could’t refrain to mark the place with a red (the hall, the couch, decorative objects). We have to admit this is more a bachelor’s home.
This MG2 ARCHITETTURE is a Turin (Italy) based studio formed in 2007 by Paolo Mariani, Fabio Guida and Alessandro Guida, three architects with different formations.
They seek to mix together urbanism and landscape, with accent on details, materials and sustainability.
This dwelling is located in Turin, a city in northern Italy. It has bright and large spaces, this is the main particularity of the house. The loft uses a mixture of wood and concrete all throughout, that mixed with the dark walls and ceilings provide a relaxing setting.
There is a garden in the terrace(300 m2) that communicates directly with the house. You can get in the garden so easily, by just jumping out from the living room or the bedroom. The two rooms communicate with the garden through floor to ceiling windows and glass doors. The main entrance leads you to a space where is the living room, with a connex open spaced kitchen.
The garden it’s so luxuriant, there is so much greenery, that it looks like a park. The beautiful view can be seen also from the gym, where you can work out and feel like you are doing this outdoors.
We have here so much space and light, but the furniture and object used are more dense. The massive furniture contrasts with the futuristic details, even in the bathroom.
The walls are covered with dark furniture. The most catchy ones seems to be:the sideboard from the kitchen, the desk, the bookcase in the living room. There are also pieces with a huge visual impact , like the futuristic chairs or the red couch. You can find so many constrasts in here;past/present;indoors/outdoors;light/darkness;natural artificial. It seems like this apartment collects antiques, contemporary art and design.
This is the just the bachelors pad.If you want an indoor relax you can do it when you want to, in the living room, playing on the laptop or just sleeping. You can also relax with a good book/magazine and a cup of coffee in the garden.Or you can let the bachelor in you entertain his friends by throwing parties, indoor or outdoor. By just living here you can have the social life you want.
