The perfect vacation house has a name- Kingfisher house
What would you say about a comfortable, yet gorgeous kingfisher house? It seems like your kind of vacation house?! Because for me it definitely looks that way!
The house you decide to live or even the vacation house should look like a warm and happy place to live in. It should warm your heart every time you get in and you should come back with pleasure. This new and cool project came from Josephine Hurley Architecture and it is called the “kingfisher house”. The name is a unique and interesting one, which sounds like a chalet, but it is so far from that thought!
About Josephine Hurley Architecture (JHA) there are a lot of interesting things that could be said, but we will mention the important ones. JHA is a Sydney based practice offering architectural and interior design services, some unique ones I could say. Hurley is passionate about good design. “Good design is site specific, responsive to the environment, timeless and grows from establishing great relationships with her clients. Each project is unique and reflective of its owner and context.”, that’s what she declares. The press is all over her capturing her awesome work because she is so good at what she does!
Going to her projects, we chose the Kingfisher House, a gorgeous projects that brings you closer to the nature and offers you some great sights! Kingfisher House descends its north-east facing site in a series of split levels towards the Hacking River. I would say that’s where the name is from, it suggests a cozy hut, placed on the rim water and the meeting place with the kingfishers.
The house has a modernist way, without being too futuristic because it has to keep up with the environmental conditions. Due to the fact that the house is placed between the nature’s moods, it has to be resistant to a lot of weather factors, like the humidity. Going on with the design, both the exterior and the interior look great! In the exterior you will find a large swimming pool, just perfect for those summer days. Also the exterior walls are made from bricks, giving the space a chalet look a like. The interior keeps that same rustic and modern look due to the wood and bricks elements combined with the new and sophisticated furniture elements. The colors used are white, beige, cream, brown, all these gorgeous shades that complete each other creating a perfect place like this one!
So, just dare to dream big and you can achieve all that you put your mind on! Some quality place like this kingfisher house will definitely become your favorite place on earth in which you can create and relax!
